Most of the time people tend to associate a healthy lifestyle with weight loss, fit bodies, and a longer lifespan, but this is just a tip of a really big iceberg! Staying physically healthy can have a great effect on our mental health, relationships, and lifestyle.
The smallest of changes lead to huge improvements
Before I decided that I wanted to change up my habits and try to take care of my body, I was living a messy, unorganized, and unmotivated life. I often forgot about my daily tasks and viewed them as unimportant, always delayed important plans, and created this bubble around myself that seemed comfortable from the outside, but in reality, was the thing that made me less physically active and lazy.
Changing the lifestyle that I grew comfortable with, was hard, but important. I took small steps at first, like doing a light workout every morning and drinking more water. Even though these changes were small, they immediately affected my skin, body, and my overall mood! I grew more and more excited to see what more I could achieve and after a few months, I couldn’t even imagine going back to my old lifestyle.
#1 Physicial activity improves our ability to do daily tasks
As we age our muscle strength deteriorates, our certain muscle groups get weaker and it gets harder and harder to do daily tasks that need a little bit more strength. To prevent this, we need to start living active lives from a younger age! When you are a physically active adult, you have a lower chance of functional limitations in the future.
We recommend muscle strengthening, moderate-intensity aerobic exercises for the elders to prevent the risk of falls or any other injuries!
#2 Physical activity is a great way to get rid of stress
Stressful days make us tense, anxious, and snappy, and if we can’t manage to get rid of this stress factor, then it builds up more and more until it gets hard to do our jobs and it starts to effects our overall well being and quality of life.
On the periods like this, there’s nothing I can recommend more than exercise. It can be running, yoga, boxing, or just a simple fitness class, either way staying active during hard times like these will help you get rid of the stress that’s been building up inside you! Meditation is also a great way to deal with your emotions and take control of them!
Dr. Penhollow points out that exercise is known to reduce depression as well, which is another condition that can have a negative effect on your libido. So, in short, if you work out on the reg, you’re more likely to want to have sex often, too.Read more: 5 ways physical activity can improve your health

Never miss an opportunity to say hi to the people you see in your next yoga class since being connected to people with the same goals will make the journey a lot more fun and enjoyable and will also help you and your friends become more and more motivated to keep going!

Its light stretches and breathing-oriented workouts have helped me deal with my severe anxiety problems, raised my energy levels and I couldn’t recommend it more!
