Backbends are great for spinal extension. If done correctly, they help create space through your entire body. Because many of us spend our days on computers, on our phones, and/or driving, our arms, chest, and upper back are in a constant state of rounding forward. Poor posture can also contribute to back issues. Through backbends, we can realign and lengthen our spines.
We slowly warm up through this class into deeper backbends, but feel free to stay where it’s comfortable for you.
